Summary

In Italy, the proposed Civil Service represents a fundamental pillar of the life plan for young people and foreign schools (SCU) who dedicate themselves to university research, guaranteeing their free time, in addition to their stay at school and study. The program sees young people choosing a volunteer role within the age range of 16 to 30, with the possibility of taking on a role on an excursion, a residency or in another International School for Research in Italian (STI) or another local International School for Research in Italian (STI). Foreign schools must also guarantee the teacher or lecturer of their institution, in addition to the instructor of the Italian school, the financial contribution, time and means necessary for the service and research. The project involves a periodic activity of 28 days with a total of 128 hours of activity.

Inclusion in the Civil Service is available to all young people who have already completed their training cycle, regardless of the type of school or class studied. The selection process starts with filling out the questionnaire and evaluating passion, availability, skills, service culture and research culture; for this reason, the application is also open to those who wish not only to work but also to contribute to society and education. The main objective is to encourage inclusion, integration and cooperative work, encouraging the effective participation of young people in research and development projects that have a positive impact on economic, cultural and human growth.
